The moment Rose started to drift back to reality after her orgasm, I knew something was wrong. I couldn't have said exactly what it was that sent off alarm bells inside my head, but something about the look in her eyes and the tension in her body had my mind reeling.

But when I kissed her again, she kissed me right back. Then, she let me lead her back out of the bedroom to the food left by room service earlier. I didn’t know about her, but I was ravenous after all that.

Rose was quiet as we sat on the couch and ate. I wasn't quite sure what had changed, nor was I sure how to bring it up. She was so unlike any of the other women I'd been with—it wasn't hard to assume I'd screwed something up. Crossed some boundary or pushed her too far, too fast. She'd never used the safe word though, and hadn't actually made any signals she wanted me to stop.

Finally, I put my food down and turned toward her. "Did I do something wrong?" I asked. If I had, I wanted to know about it so I could fix it if possible.

Rose stared down at her own food for a long while. At first, I wasn't sure if she was even going to answer me. She looked so tense. I waited for her to get up, grab her clothes, and leave. But she didn't. She stayed right there, mulling over whatever was bothering her.

"I think this should be the last time we see each other," Rose said at last.

My heart sank as I stared at her. I hadn't been sure if we'd see each other again. I'd only seen a very few girls for more than two nights, so part of me had expected it to end here. And yet, when I heard those words come out of Rose's mouth, my entire body ached.

I was falling for her. Somehow, I'd started to fall for this quiet, submissive, woman. And now she wanted to break it off? I wanted to respect her wishes, but at the same time, I didn't want to just give up on her. But if I pushed for more information, it might just push her away from me.

Instead, I figured my best bet was to be honest with her. "I'm not sure where this is going, but I want more." Rose's eyes went wide as she stared at me. "I know it was only supposed to be physical between us, and I'm not sure what changed inside me, but it's the truth."

Rose was silent as she turned her gaze back to her food. The tension in the air was suffocating, and I was afraid my honesty had pushed her even further away. But I didn't want to lie to her, nor did I want to walk away without at least trying.

"I thought we were on the same page," Rose said at last. Her voice was quiet, barely even a whisper. "That it would just be sex between the two of us.
